NEW Winter League Season

This year's winter league will start on Wednesday 5th October 2011.

The fixtures meeting for the NEW season will be on Monday 26th September 2011 at the Ruddington Estate Club at 8:15pm. Please make sure that if you enter a team that a representative from your side attends this meeting.

I have sent out all the necessary forms for the new season and you should all receive these shortly. PLEASE CAN YOU MAKE SURE YOU SEND BACK ALL COMPLETED FORMS BY SUNDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER

Proposals for AGM 2011

I have received the following proposals to be discussed at this years AGM which takes place on Monday 8th August at the Radcliffe RBL at 8pm:

Proposal from Mark Johnson:

Honorariums that are currently only payed to the Secretary, Treasurer and Results Secretary should be changed to also include the Chairman of the League, I propose these should be changed from £75 to £50 each. (plus this should be added into the rules of the league under section 2)

With the current number of teams in the league I feel this reduction from £75 is a more viable solution than paying 4 people £75 each (£300). If the number of teams in the league were to increase significantly then the payments could be increased accordingly at that time.

Proposals from Test Match pub:

The Test Match would like to propose the following for the winter league this year:

1) In Darts we would like to see SIX SINGLES and THREE PAIRS matches in games.

2) In Dominoes there should be FIVE PAIRS games of 61 holes.

3) Along with the format changes we would also like to see that every member of a team who turns up on that evening should be guaranteed a game of either DARTS or DOMINOES.

This will prevent a team from only playing their best players in matches and leaving other members without a game.

If a team fails to have enough players to complete their side then the player’s names of those present must be put in a hat and drawn out for the final game just before the start of that game
